*Please be sure to fill out the correct form for your city! If I am guesting outside of Austin, Texas you will find the tattoo request form with the name of your city in the title.

I'm generally booked out >1 month in advance, stay up to date on booking cycles by signing up for my newsletter. If I have a last minute opening due to a cancellation, I will post on my Instagram story.
AFTERCARE

For gause pads or clingwrap bandage: remove after 12-24 hr and take a shower.
For second skin: remove after 3 days, in the shower by stretching the bandage parallel to your skin (do not rip off like a bandaid)
Wash twice a day using clean hands with non fragranced, anti bacterial soap, pat dry with paper towel. Moisturize after cleaning/drying with a *small* amount of healing salve the first week, unscented lotion the second week. Please use apothecary that you've used on your skin before. Avoid trying something new unless you are confident in how your skin will react.
NO: Direct sun, swimming, sauna (including red light), hot tubs, coconut oil, steroids, chemical peels, skin products with acids or alcohol, fragrances, ibuprofen within 24 hours or alcohol consumption within 72 hours.

Your tattoo is no longer considered an open wound after 2 - 3 weeks. You can resume normal activities though continue to moisturize and use SPF. Your skin may take up to 3 months to fully settle.

Starting a large scale tattoo... Back pieces, full sleeves, half sleeves, etc.
Wanting to start a large project?
If you're wanting to start a project from a concept I've already drawn, we can begin by discussing how you'd like to break up the process as there are a couple options. Shoot me an email including the concept you'd like and the timeline you'd like it completed in if you have one.

For custom large scale projects, consults are required. We will meet for 30 min to an hour at the shop to go over your ideas, questions and concerns, discuss the process and sketch. Please send me an email with your ideas, placement and availability for a consultation.

Large projects can be broken up into half day and/or half day appointments. Alternatively, mapping sessions are available to work on the project in variable chunks of time. Please inquire for details!

Inquiries for large projects can be sent to sappytattoo@gmail.com or sent via request form.
Mapping Sessions
'Mapping' for a project is where we tattoo a light greywash outline of the tattoo in order for us to work on the project incrementally. The map works as a permanent stencil in order for us to have a permanent guide for a project to work on over multiple sessions.

The outline may be lightly dotted into your skin or lightly lined into your skin. The 'map' is completely covered by the end of the project.

Mapping allows us to work in smaller, much more variable increments. Appointments after a mapping session can range from1.5 to 6 hours, scheduled out however you would like. We can schedule these regular appointments for a set amounts of time to be budget friendly, or open ended.

Mapping sessions have a discounted hourly rate. They're a great option for people who would like largescale work but maybe are worried about sitting for long amounts of time or have an ever changing personal schedule.
Traveling for tattoo appointments
If you're traveling to Austin and would like to schedule in a tattoo for your trip, please note your travel dates in your request form.

If you are traveling to Austin for a large scale project with me, please let me know your ideal travel dates & we will discuss appointment requirements for your specific tattoo. I'm originally from Austin and more than happy to send my recommendations on where to eat, play and stay.

Austin is my home base, though I do guest at other shops in my travels. I schedule my annual travel around large scale projects; large scale projects are welcome in other cities as well but subject to more rigorous approval.
Pricing?
I offer a variety of appointment types with different pricing structures, please inquire via email.

Flash and pre-drawn custom tattoos under 6" are priced by the design and placement, quote will be sent via email and discussed at the beginning of your appointment. Designs over 6" are hourly at $200/hr
Drawn on (freehand tattoo) appointments are hourly at $100/hr for draw time, $200/hr for tattoo time

Half day and Full day appointments are available at a set rate.

For largescale projects, variable set or open ended hourly appointments are available after a mapping session is completed.

See handpoke section below for handpoke appointments and rates.

I do offer a 15% discount to BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ who are financially disadvantaged due to systemic issues. Please let me know if you would like this discount & I trust that you will check your financial privilege beforehand.
Handpoke Offerings
I offer machine-free handpoked tattoo sessions for those with the intention of connecting with this method of tattooing. While my practice defaults to machine tattooing, I still love to connect with the slower, ancient practice of marking by hand.
Because handpoke is offered with intention, sessions are only available in half day or full day format.
Half day appointments are $600, full day appointments vary depending on the tattoo.
Specific designs are available for handpoke, customs are welcome as well.
Please reach out with any questions around handpoke.

Tipping & Payment Methods?
Tips are customary & greatly appreciated, though not required. 20% is industry standard, when calculating your tip remember to include your deposit to know the total cost. Non-monetary tips that are handmade/grown are also welcome (no food, please).

I accept both cash & all cards. Cash is preferred.

*When traveling, I accept only cash and zelle
Do you accept
walk ins?
Short answer, no.
No Good Tattoo is by appointment only. On occasion, I have a special flash day where I accept walk ins. This will be specified in the event information. Follow me on Instagram or sign up for my newsletter to find out when I have flash days!
When can I see my custom design?
Designs are not drawn until your appointment is scheduled & I have received your deposit. Designs will be shown to you when you arrive for your appointment. We will go over options and make any final adjustments during this time.
The design I wanted is taken!
If I am currently accepting custom requests, we can rework the flash into something slightly new. Please submit a custom request form and include the flash you would like reworked.
Can I alter a flash design?
I do not allow flash alterations. If you have an alteration in mind, please submit a custom request specifying the alteration & the design. The original flash design will remain available for others to book.
Will my handpoked tattoo fade?
Will your tattoo disappear? No. As long as your artist tattoos you properly, this is a permanent body art form. Though improper healing can result in losing pieces of the tattoo (fall out).
Will it look more dull? Eventually, yes. Machine & handpoked tattoos alike: With time, sun/chemical exposure, placement & other factors. Taking proper care of your tattoos is essential!
Tattoos you absolutely won't do?
Hands/Neck if you're under 25 years old (exception: already have theses areas tattooed or if you are heavily tattooed)
Other people's art
Anything hateful
If you're under 18, even with parental consent
How do you choose to accept an appointment?
Almost all flash requests are accepted, with the exception of placement or size issues with the design (i.e. the place you want to put the tattoo won't work for the design or have issues healing with the technique type)
Custom and drawn on requests are chosen based on if the design is something I'm inspired by and feel most capable to do. Often times I will have a focus for the month which I will note at the top of the form. If I do not accept your request, I will do my best to refer you to another artist who could do a better job with your particular idea.
Covid?
You may request that I, or everyone in the shop wear a mask in your request form.
When traveling, you may request that I wear a mask when tattooing you, I cannot adjust shop policies when I am a guest artist.
Touch ups?
Initial touch ups on my own work are free. If you need a touch up, please email me a photo of the tattoo in good lighting at a minimum of two weeks from your appointment date.

Additional touch ups will be $50-$100 depending on the tattoo.
Do you touch up tattoos by another artist?
Rarely but on occasion I will touch up another artists work. It must be a part of your appointment you've booked to get something else with me.
I highly suggest reaching out to the original artist if your tattoo has had fall out - often times they will touch it up for free & it minimizes risks of a different technique or ink being used. It also allows artists to learn about their technique & improve it.
I have a question about my order?
Questions about orders or my shop can be submitted through the contact form - I'll send you an email in response as soon as I can!
